Just because

Looking for some inspiration this morning, I visited the Inkspirational challenge blog. I decided to join their challenge #47, by using any color of yellow and brown. I dived into my stash and found some flowers to use. So... this is my take on it!

Tip Top Tuesday - CAS 

Vanochtend was ik op zoek naar wat inspiratie, waarbij ik langs de blog van Inkspirational Challenges kwam. Ik besloot mee te doen aan hun challenge #47, waarvoor je elke kleur geel en bruin mocht gebruiken. Toen ik mijn voorraad dook, kwam ik deze bloemen tegen, die precies van pas kwamen. Dus, dit is mijn resultaat!

Leafs

Tonight I got my Big Shot out of the closet again and used it to make the leafs. Together with this amazing Gorjuss stamp I made this card. In my coloring I tried to make more use of white, which I think turned out pretty well. I'd like to join the following challenges:

Vanavond heb ik mijn Big Shot weer uit de kast gehaald om de blaadjes te maken. Samen met deze geweldige Gorjuss stempel heb ik deze kaart gemaakt. Met het kleuren met Copics heb ik geprobeerd meer wit open te laten en ik ben erg blij met het resultaat. Ik doe graag mee aan bovenstaande challenges.

See youtube!Well, this stamp from My Favorite Things goes perfectly with that song, so that's why I used it for challenge #16 of the Musically Challenged blog. I'd also like to enter this card for the Anything Goes challenge #30 of Hobby Cutz.

Hoot hoot! Some inspiration...

Another card tonight! I wanted to use this design paper for a long time, but didn't had a good idea for it yet. But tonight I came across the YNS challenge blog and found their sketch and image as an inspiration for my card. The idea for the cut out of the owl came from the sketch, while the colors match the inspirational photo. Therefore, I'd like to enter the YNS Fun Friday challenge #8 with this card.

Nog een kaartje vanavond! Ik wilde dit design papier al een tijdje gebruiken, maar wist niet zo goed hoe. Gelukkig kwam ik vanavond langs de YNS challenge blog. Ik heb hun schets en inspiratiefoto gebruikt als inspiratie voor mijn kaart. De schets bracht me op het idee voor het uitsnijden van de uil en de inspiratiefoto heb ik vooral voor de kleuren gebruikt. Ik doe graag mee aan de YNS Fun Friday challenge #8. 

Big Shot!

My Big Shot is in! I gave it a start right away and this is the first result. I used some new items, like the Big Shot itself, obviously, the embossing folder that comes with it and a Marianne Design Craftable. One of my copics (E37) is also new. Mijn Big Shot is er! Ik heb hem natuurlijk gelijk uitgeprobeerd en dit is het eerste resultaat. Ik heb een aantal spullen gebruikt die ik ook nieuw heb. Naast de Big Shot zijn ook de embossing folder en de Marianne Design Craftable nieuw. Ook heb ik een van m'n nieuwe Copics gebruikt: de E37. Ik doe graag mee aan bovenstaande challenges.

I wish you all a wonderful 2014! I started this year with ordering a Big Shot for my birthday! I'll be picking it up tomorrow, I'm so excited! Finally I join the big world of die cuts and embossing. I'm really looking forward to use it. But for now, I'd like to show you my newest card.

I used a technique called "Shadow Painting". It actually uses a kind of water soluble paint and a special liner that prevents the colors from blending. However, my liner appeared to be dried out after laying for a year in my stash. But, fortunately you can use these paints without the liner to make beautiful backgrounds. So maybe I'll use that for one of my next cards.

Ik wens jullie allemaal een heel mooi 2014! Ik ben dit jaar goed begonnen door voor mijn verjaardag een Big Shot te bestellen! Morgen kan ik hem ophalen en ik heb nu al zin om er mee aan de slag te gaan! Maar voor nu wil ik jullie graag mijn nieuwste kaartje laten zien.

Ik heb deze kaart gemaakt met "Shadow Painting", een techniek die gebruik maakt van een verf op waterbasis en een speciale liner die er voor zorgt dat de kleuren niet in elkaar overlopen. Helaas is mijn liner na een jaar in de kast te hebben gelegen zo goed als uitgedroogd, dus die kan ik na dit kaartje niet meer gebruiken. Gelukkig kun je de verf ook heel goed gebruiken om achtergronden mee te maken. Wie weet doe ik dat bij een volgende kaart.
